In celebration of National Day, the next Istana Open House (IOH) will be held on Sunday, 26 July 2026, from 9.30am to 8.00pm. For the first time, an evening outdoor concert will be held at the Istana, allowing visitors to enjoy the unique ambience of the grounds, with the last entry at 6.45pm. Members of the public can bring their own mats or chairs and enjoy performances by local artistes on the lawns.

Performances and Activity Booths
2 This year’s National Day IOH celebrates Singapore’s past, present, and future through shared experiences across sport, heritage and community activities, and music and cultural performances, for all ages and abilities.
3 For the first time at an Istana Open House, an open-air concert featuring performances by local artistes and bands Amsden Huang, Shazza, Fourteen Aces and Soft Boiled Eggs from Project #JalanJalan will be held in the evening. Last entry to the concert is at 6.45pm. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own mats or field chairs and enjoy the performances on the Istana lawns.
4 Sport enthusiasts can try inclusive sports such as boccia, seated floorball, virtual archery and drone football, or take on community fitness challenges by Active Health – all designed for participants of all abilities. Joining in on the sporting action, former and current Team Singapore athletes – including Lim Tong Hai (Football), Derek Wong (Badminton), Lim Heem Wei (Gymnastics), Marissa Hafezan (Karate), Sanjiv Rajandra (Water Polo) and Jovin Tan (Boccia) – will be present as part of the One Team, One Dream campaign to rally support for Team Singapore athletes.
5 For a taste of heritage, visitors can mould clay versions of local heritage foods such as colourful kuehs and iced gem biscuits, or create their own postcard prints inspired by Singapore’s heritage and everyday life.
6 Visitors can also share their hopes and aspirations for Singapore at a range of interactive booths. These include the National Pledge Digital Wall where Singaporeans can reaffirm their commitments to Singapore in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the National Pledge, SportSG's Our Sporting Dreams Wall where visitors can pen their hopes for the future of sport in Singapore; and "Towards SG70", a nationwide initiative capturing the hopes, dreams, and memories of Singaporeans to be unsealed when Singapore turns 70 in 2035. They can also show their support for Chingay's UNESCO nomination by penning messages at the Chingay: Road to UNESCO booth.
7 Visitors can also look forward to the Istana Stamp Rally, a new activity developed in partnership with Singapore Polytechnic. Suitable for visitors of all ages, the rally invites participants to explore the Istana grounds through a series of fun activities at designated pitstops, collect uniquely designed stamps, and redeem exclusive Istana merchandise upon completion. This student-led initiative encourages visitors to discover different parts of the Istana while enjoying a shared experience with family and friends.
8 Beyond the booths and activities, visitors will be treated to a vibrant lineup of music, dance and cultural performances from 10.00am to 7.30pm. Highlights include homegrown singer-songwriters Shazza and Amsden, youth-led performing arts groups from Project #JalanJalan, New Opera Singapore, and the Dance of the Nation workout featuring mascots Nila and August. Students from LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore Polytechnic, Madrasah Irsyad Zuhri Al-Islamiah, Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah and Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah will also grace the stage with their own tributes to National Day through music, dance and culture.
