The Istana grounds will be open to the public on Monday, 11 February 2013, from 8.30am to 6.00pm, in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
Visitors will be entertained by performances put up by PA talents, Zhenghua Primary School Band, the Singapore Soka Association and the Guitar Connection. There will also be a display of snakes by the Singapore Zoo. For more information on the day’s programmes, please refer to Annex A below.
Members of the public can also tour selected function rooms in the Istana building to view a display of gifts presented to the President and the Prime Minister by foreign dignitaries. Guided tours of the Istana main building will be conducted by volunteers from the Preservation of Monuments Board.
Admission Details
Entry to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore permanent residents. Other visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $1 per person. Entrance to the Istana grounds is via the main gate at Orchard Road. The nearest MRT station is Dhoby Ghaut.
Additional fees as specified in Annex B below for the tours of the Istana main building will be applied. Istana souvenirs will also be on sale during the Open House.
Proceeds from the sale of souvenirs and all entrance fees collected will be donated to charity.

FEES FOR ENTRANCE INTO THE ISTANA MAIN BUILDING
The following fees are applicable for the tours of the state room, banquet hall and reception room in the Istana main building:

*A tour, comprising not more than 20 participants, will start every half hour from 9.30am to 4.30pm (except during lunch from 12.30pm to 1.30pm). Each guided tour takes about 40 minutes and is conducted by volunteers. Interested parties can register at the Istana Building Guided Tour booth on the day of the open house.
All fees collected will be donated to charity.
