The Istana grounds will be open to the public on Sunday, 19 August 2012, from 8.30am to 6.00pm, to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Visitors will be entertained by performances put up by PA Talents, PAssionArts, Zhonghua Secondary and Greenridge Secondary School Bands. The PAssionArts segment will showcase resident-centric performing groups including the Ukelele Group and Elvis Singing Group, while PA Talents will be performing Malay Dance. Other highlights include a display of bird species, face painting and instant portraits.
Admission Details
Entry to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore permanent residents. Others visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $1 per person. Entrance to the Istana grounds is via the main gate at Orchard Road. The nearest MRT station is Dhoby Ghaut.
Members of the public can also tour selected function rooms in the Istana building to view a display of gifts presented to the President and the Prime Minister by foreign dignitaries, for an additional fee of $2.
Istana souvenirs will be sold during the Open House. Proceeds from the sale of souvenirs and all entrance fees collected will be donated to charity.
