Meeting with President of the Republic of Austria His Excellency Dr Heinz Fischer

President Tony Tan Keng Yam met His Excellency Dr Heinz Fischer, President of the Republic of Austria, on 26 June 2016 at Lindau, Germany, on the side-lines of the 66th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.
During the meeting, both Presidents affirmed the warm bilateral ties that Singapore and Austria share. The two leaders discussed how the current good relations between Singapore and Austria can be further strengthened. President Tan and President Fischer also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including the recent Referendum in the United Kingdom on its membership in the European Union.
This year, Singapore and Austria mark the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.
President Tan is currently on a Working Visit to Germany.
