Over the past one and a half year, the COVID-19 pandemic has posed significant challenges to our jobs, families and sense of well-being. What is even more unfortunate is that these uncertainties have caused a larger impact on those in need.
Beyond the relief measures introduced by the Government, I am heartened that there has been an outpouring of help from the community. Singaporeans across various backgrounds have stepped up to contribute – whether it is through volunteering their skills or donating to a cause. It is with everyone’s support that we ensure no one is left behind during this challenging period, and that we can unite against the pandemic as a nation.
I invite you to join me in supporting ‘Tap for Hope’ – our campaign for everyone to contribute to President’s Challenge (PC). All funds raised will go toward the 93 PC beneficiary agencies spanning a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, eldercare, disability, children, families, youth, sports, arts and rehabilitation, you are also giving hope to those who have been impacted by the pandemic.
The support of the community has always been key to the success of President’s Challenge. I thank SMRT for joining us on this journey to help those most in need during this challenging period. I hope that Singaporeans will continue to rally behind this meaningful initiative to uplift communities and empower lives.
Thank you.
