Swearing-in and Appointment of Member of the Council of Presidential Advisers

The President, acting in her discretion, has appointed Mr Peter Seah Lim Huat as a Member of the Council of Presidential Advisers under Article 37B(2)(c)(i) of the Constitution from 2 January 2021 to 1 June 2024.
Mr Peter Seah Lim Huat will replace Mr Po’ad Bin Shaik Abu Bakar Mattar, whose term on the Council expired on 1 January 2021 after 14 years of service.
With these changes, the new composition of the Council of Presidential Advisers is as follows:

Mr Peter Seah is Chairman of the Board of DBS Group Holdings and its Executive Committee.
Peter is the present Chairman of Singapore Airlines Limited, Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd and LaSalle College of the Arts Limited. Peter was a banker for 33 years before retiring as Vice Chairman and CEO of the former Overseas Union Bank in 2001.
Peter serves on the boards of GIC Private Limited, Fullerton Financial Holdings Pte Ltd and STT Communications Ltd.
Peter was awarded the Public Service Star in 1999 and the Distinguished Service Order in 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) from the University of Singapore.
