Working Visit by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to The Federal Republic of Germany from 4 to 8 June 2025

President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will make a working visit to Berlin, Germany, from 4 to 8 June 2025. The visit takes place as Singapore and Germany commemorate 60 years of diplomatic relations, and the first year of our Strategic Partnership.

  1.     President Tharman will receive a ceremonial welcome at Schloss Bellevue in Berlin, followed by a bilateral meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. He will also engage in roundtable discussions with senior German business leaders and think tanks.

  2.       President will also be engaged in the Group of Thirty (G30) Spring Plenary and chair the G30 Board of Trustees meeting in Berlin.

  3.       President Tharman will in addition meet overseas Singaporeans based in Germany.
