Working Visit By President Tharman Shanmugaratnam To The United States Of America From 13 To 17 October 2025

President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will make a working visit to Washington, D.C., United States of America from 13 to 17 October 2025.

  1. President Tharman’s visit will include delivering the 2025 Per Jacobsson Lecture on 15 October 2025, co-chairing a meeting of the World Bank Group’s High-Level Advisory Council on Jobs, and participating in an International Monetary Fund (IMF) flagship debate on 16 October 2025.

  2. President Tharman will also engage leaders from government, business, think tanks, and academia.

  3. He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the President’s Office.
