The late Pope Francis of Vatican City State presented this gift to President Tharman Shanmugaratnam during his Official Visit to Italy, Rome from June 22 to 24, 2024.

Dimensions: 16.5 × 6 × 17 cm
This gift is a bronze casting depicting two clasped hands, set against the backdrop of St. Peter's colonnade, alongside figures of a woman with a child and a migrant boat. It bears the inscription, “Let us fill our hands with other hands”.
The composition carries symbolic significance, conveying themes of mercy, acceptance, and fraternity – values central to the pastoral vision of the late Pope Francis.
