Cloisonné Floral Vessel
Country: The People's Republic of China
China’s President Xi Jinping presented this gift to then-Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during his State Visit to Beijing from April 25 to 29, 2019.

Dimensions: 28 × 28 × 47 cm
This cloisonné vessel is shaped after the traditional Chinese ritual vessel, zun (尊). Its upper and lower sections are decorated with auspicious floral motifs drawn from Chinese cultural traditions. In the Beijing style, it combines cloisonné craftsmanship – recognised as an item of China’s intangible cultural heritage – with the traditional art of inside painting.
The interior paintings depict the Temple of Heavens, the Great Wall, blossoming peonies, Chinese roses, and chrysanthemums – motifs that symbolise prosperity and good fortune.
