Jambiya Dagger
Country: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The late Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who was the former King & Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, presented this gift to the late Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew during his working visit to Saudi Arabia from March 3 to 5, 2008.

Dimensions: 27.5 × 12.5 × 2 cm
This gift is a traditional gold-plated and engraved double-edged curved dagger known as a Jambiya, which means “something worn at one's right side”. These daggers are commonly worn by Yemen Arabs as part of their regular day-to-day dressings and are typically made of fine steel that do not rust.
They also come in two main types that are worn differently – the first was for tribesmen and ordinary people, while the second was for aristocrats.
