The late Kim Dae-Jung, who was the eighth President of South Korea, presented this gift to the late President S.R. Nathan during his State Visit to Singapore from November 25 to 27, 2000.

Dimensions: 22 × 22 × 47 cm
This gift is a crown inspired by jewellery from the Kingdom of Silla, dating from the 5th to 7th centuries. The jade or glass adornments and the cut-out gold motifs symbolise the abundant fruits of labour. Such crowns were not worn in life but used as burial goods. Their artistry reflects the advanced knowledge of goldsmithing and metalworking of the period.
