Myanmar’s then-President U Thein Sein presented this gift to Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong during his State Visit to Singapore from January 29 to February 1, 2012.

Dimensions: 11.5 × 11.5 × 23 cm

This vase was crafted from silver and embedded with green jades. Its ornate floral and foliage patterns are created using repoussé, a metalworking technique in which a flat sheet of metal is hammered from the reverse side to form raised relief. The details from the front are then refined through chasing.
