Brunei’s Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah presented this gift to Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during his visit to Singapore as an invited guest for our country's 60th National Day Parade on August 9, 2025.

This gift, named Umpok Bulat Kecil, refers to a specific Bruneian silversmithing technique. In Brunei silverwork, umpok denotes a repoussé-style method in which the artisan hammers a silver sheet from the reverse to create a high-relief, “mounded” design on the front. This produces the characteristic three-dimensional texture seen in floral motifs, including the signature Bunga Air Mulih pattern.
