A collaboration with Republic Polytechnic. This 360o experience is a project by final year students of the Diploma in Media Production and Design in 2021. The multimedia interactive site offers viewers an immersive experience of touring the Istana gardens through virtual reality and videos.
MAIN DRIVEWAY
A lush canopy of Rain Trees at the beginning of this main driveway provides a tranquillity scene which contrasts with the hustle and bustle on the other side of gate.
SWAN POND
A sense of space and green intuit instantly when moving to the left of the driveway. The scenery is refreshing.
ORCHID GARDEN
The vibrant colours, hardiness and resilience of Vanda Miss Joaquim are reminiscent of the Singapore spirit.
GINGER GARDEN
A home to about 30 ornamental and native species that come under the ginger family, including banana plants such as Thousand Fingers Banana (Pisang Seribu).
GUN TERRACE
With a 105-mm Japanese cannon sited in it, the terrace commands a panoramic view of the Istana grounds and the city skyline.
